Training at Ziegler Präzisionsteile

Training as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d)

  • State of the art methods of metalworking
  • Construction of precision parts and programming of CNC machines on CAD/CAM systems
  • Production of milled parts and other precision parts on CNC machines

What is your job as a cutting machine operator? As the name suggests, your work involves cutting chips while you produce precision parts on state-of-the-art CNC machines. During this process, the final shape may often only deviate from the design drawing by a few thousandths of a millimetre. That is not much when you consider that a human hair is between 5 and 8 hundredths of a millimetre thick.

What does a cutting machine operator learn during their training?

At the beginning of the three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship, a cutting machine operator learns basic methods of metalworking such as sawing, drilling, turning, milling and thread cutting. Initial machining experience is gained on conventional machining tools before individual parts and small series are produced from various materials and plastics on computer-controlled CNC machining centres. This is followed by the independent selection of machining tools, the definition of machining strategies and the programming of the machine tool according to design drawings. The quality control of the finished work pieces and the correct handling of the required measuring tools are naturally also part of the field of activity because the finished parts should not deviate from the customer’s specifications under any circumstances.

Own training workshop

We attach the utmost importance to thorough and comprehensive training in all areas of metal cutting. Therefore, in the first year of their apprenticeship, the trainees learn how to work with different materials made of metal and plastic on conventional machines under the guidance of expert foremen in our own training workshop. It is only from the second year of apprenticeship that they are slowly integrated into the normal working day. From this point on, the next step is to learn how to use CNC machining centres, programming and quality control. The accompanying training in theory and practice takes place as block lessons at the vocational school in Roth. By the way, we reward good professional and academic performance of our trainees with pay above the standard rate as well as special bonuses and undertake joint excursions such as visits to Formula 1 races. So go ahead, apply for a try-out internship right now! We look forward to meeting you.

Training as an industrial management assistant (m/f/d)

  • Purchasing
  • Accounting
  • Human resources
  • Marketing and sales

What is your job as an industrial management asisstant? Strictly speaking, merchants deal with trade, the sale and purchase of goods and products. Today, the area of responsibility is much broader. Depending on their personal preferences, industrial management assistants work in accounting, finance, purchasing, sales, human resources management or as assistants to management or department heads after completing their training.

This is how your training as an industrial management assistant works

During your apprenticeship, you will get to know all the commercial activities in our company. The more comprehensive your knowledge of all the processes and the better skills you have in commercial matters, such as oral and written correspondence, using computer software or preparing reports and analyses, the more flexibly you can be deployed after your training.
